When I am in the throes of a PTSD attack from the result of sudden changes (which can last for minutes, hours, days, weeks or months), I strive for #Truth because I know my PTSD distorts my perception of current events based on past events.

I simply can’t handle sudden changes or events. It takes time for me to become accustomed to them. And, the time I take to heal depends on the the level of pain or trauma the event brought to me.
All I ever ‘need’ from others is patience and understanding. When people get angry with me and don’t understand, it makes things twice as bad for me. That’s why I retreat to spend time alone after a stressful day or event. Because very few people I know get that.
