7th Chakra • Purple Symbolic Color of Spirituality • Crown Chakra

The purple symbolic color of spirituality is a blend of strong reds and calming blues. Almost sounds like a storm, doesn’t it? In fact, the sky sometimes turns purple before a storm. Probably, the most prevalent use of the purple symbolic color is its association with royalty and prestige. In our childhood fairy tales, the sorcerer almost always wears purple. Some believe that purple helps us get in touch with our deepest thoughts.

🕉 Crown Chakra • Purple

7th Chakra • Sahasrara

The seventh chakra or the crown chakra has, for thousands of years, been depicted as white, gold, violet, and the purple symbolic color. If our crown chakra is blocked, we might experience depression, alienation, and inability to learn. It may cause the ego to run riot with strong urges to feel popular or an excessive need for sympathy. When we release blockage of our crown chakra, it aligns us with the oneness of the universe and gives us strength and confidence to move forward with our plans and dreams.

The crown chakra is at the top of the head where energy from your body moves up and out of your body. Many believe that this is the area where your body and spirit come together as the purest point of your existence. You will often see the lotus symbolized as the crown chakra, hence the name Sahasrara which interprets as “The Lotus with One Thousand Petals.”

Purple is the color of the crown chakra. The Crown Chakra, also known as the Sahasrara, is located at the top of the head. It links to the crown of the head, the nervous system, and the brain, and is representative of pure thought. This chakra connects one with the infinite consciousness. VIA SensationalColor

To heal or unblock your crown chakra, use the technique of meditation, expressions of gratitude for all that you are, or by deep love and acceptance of who you are. Also be willing to look outside yourself to help others and thereby develop a deeper spiritual connection with all that is around you.

The Minerals 💎

The purple symbolic color of spirituality is represented by a wide variety of gemstones. My personal favorite is Amythyst. The purple Amethyst is a type of quartz and has wonderful healing properties. First, Amethyst provides powerful protection against psychic attack wherein it transmutes the negative energy into love and protects its host from negative thoughts from others. It is known to relieve stress, soothe irritability and mood swings, and helps dissipate anger. In addition, Amythyst helps ease compulsive behaviors remarkably.

Big chunks of crystal rocks sometimes are no convenient to carry around with us. So, try something simpler such as a necklace or a bracelet that you wear wherever you go for lovely, elegant healing on the go!

The Essential Oil 💦

There are many varieties of essential oil that goes well with and enhances the spiritual experience of purple but my favorite is Lavender Essential Oil. Nothing calms or puts me into a meditative state faster than when I have my diffuser going with a touch of lavender essential oil.

Here is a link to a Lavender essential oil that you can use right away for your aromatherapy: DoTERRA Essential Oils Click through the link, then select “shop” and “search”.

Lavender essential oil is only from the flowers of the plant, however, this process harnesses the most potent and pure aromas from the petals. Use lavender as a scent for soaps, lotions, and cosmetics. You will recognize it by its alluring earthy scent with a subtly spicy undertone. Today Lavender is in use for homeopathic remedies and aromatherapy.

Greetings! I believe in holistic health. Together we light the way through our beautiful lives with spirit, mind, and body balance. Essential oils are a key ingredient in my life. I hope to show you how they are in yours. Warmly, Susan
