Beautiful Lives by Susan is a site for people who suffer from PTSD, have family members who do or perhaps you want to learn how to deal with daily anxieties in your job, family, and life in general. Therefore, the intention of Beautiful Lives is to give free or low-cost resources to learn about healing from the stress of trauma and the resulting anxieties, depression, and other mental health issues that inevitably follows traumatic events.
Our Beautiful Minds category covers anything pertaining to the mental health of survivors of traumatic events. Our posts come from the knowledge I gain through reading articles, books, watching documentaries, and from my own intuition derived from my life with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (syndrome). You won’t find me making apologies for my opinions nor do I claim to be a mental health professional. Rather, I use this site to share my experience and knowledge with my readers to help others build up their or mental health tool belt and create a better life for themselves.
Together we light the way
You are invited to join me on this journey of healing from traumatic events. After all, people begin to heal the moment they feel heard – right? So, I write for those who might find some comfort or discovery in their own lives that help them heal, grow, and prosper.
I refer to PTSD and how my life has been affected by it in several posts on this site. However, by design, this site is for healing from traumatic experiences. So, you’ll find my back story on the About Us page, but the rest of the site will bring you natural and healthy ways to relax, feel better about yourself, and grow in love, not in fear.
Within our Beautiful Minds category, we also cover a variety of issues such as colors and how they affect our lives. We also go into designing lives and lifestyles that give us healing intimate environments. We also have categories about Mother Earth, Poetry, Free Downloadable Journals, and more. Next, Mother Earth is about everything from forest fires to environmental issues and covers anything that has to do with the misuse of the gifts she has given us. But we also want to show the beauty and grandeur that is our precious Mother Earth and we lift her up with our hearts for worldwide peace and healing. We also have a sub-category of Beautiful Minds, simply called poetry. There you will find posts about my social media friends who write poetry.
Thank you for visiting Beautiful Lives by Susan where together we light the way with spirit, mind, and body balance.
Follow me My Great-great-grandmother Rose Daniels was Navajo. This was hidden from me for most of my life, so now, there are traits about me that make sense. How is that any different than an adopted child who wants to know their roots? I never sought out any type of compensation from the Navajo Nation.
Wisdom is found in each line of poetry which Suhail carefully writes with great mindfulness and forethought.
I knew something was not right with me. But like most victims, I kept it buried deep inside and talked to no one about it. I knew I was too easily swayed into bad situations, but I didn’t know how to stop it. I knew that I didn’t want to treat others the way I had been treated and most of the time, became so wishy-washy and clingy in an attempt ‘make everyone around me feel good’ that people couldn’t stand me.
